As the leaves get rich in color this fall, we can take away some important lessons when the seasons begin to change. Just like anyone else, I carry lifeless feelings, situations, and people in my heart that I don’t have any further use for. I always try to be present and live in the moment, but sometimes things don’t just disappear like that. If you’ve been hurt, betrayed, lied to, or even cheated on, that shit gets harder and harder to let go of. But with that being said, I stumbled upon this quote last week and it really struck me and I feel so inspired from it. Here it is:
“The trees show us how lovely it is to let the dead parts of us go.”
I don’t know about you, but I am so floored by this saying. The fall season holds so much beauty because the leaves change to vibrant shades, you see leaves on the ground and well, everywhere, and it makes for some killer views if you can see a lot of trees at a time. We think its just beautiful scenery, but the trees are shedding the layer to build a new one. We can only learn from mother nature and what the Earth has to offer. If we get burned, we must keep going. We must let go of things that are weighing us down, that are eating our insides alive, and thoughts that are negative. Letting go isn’t easy, but maybe that is where the true you lies. You can’t always be yourself with unnecessary pain invading you, so let it go. Everything happens for a reason, like the leaves falling off the trees in the fall.
