+ Vegan Update +

So it’s been just about three weeks since I’ve attempted to obtain a plant based vegan diet and I feel great! Really cutting out all of the dairy and the minimal animal products I was eating is surprisingly a lot easier than I expected. I’ve been eating a lot of fruits and veggies, rice, lentils, and getting more creative with recipes and meals. I am looking at labels, ingredients, and learning more and more as I go. In the past weeks, my family invited me out to happy hour at one of their favorite pizza places and I didn’t have a hard time saying no to eating anything because the menu didn’t have anything vegan. I ate a good dinner after that I prepared myself and it made me feel great! My boyfriend and I went on a bike ride one afternoon yesterday and we stopped into this Korean bbq place and I ended up loving what I had. I’ve learned that I will have to bring vegan friendly snacks everywhere I go just in case I don’t have an option to eat when I’m with friends, family, or whatever. I’m totally okay with it because I know I’m making the right choice for not only my health, but for the animals as well.
